Day 18: 6/4/15 (Missoula)
45 miles
We knew the weather
would be a little better so we were hoping to hike the “M” today. Unfortunately, we realized that we didn’t
have the time because we were picking up the kids from school at lunch time and
we would have needed a couple of hours for the hike.
So we just straightened out our expenses, etc. and we headed over to
grab Hannah and Isaac, who both had root beer floats when we picked them up – jealous. By request, we
headed over to Spectrum which is a science discovery center filled with a lot
of sensory activities and other brain games.
We took turns in the hurricane wind tunnel – because everyone loves that
80mph windswept look right? We also
challenged Engineer Rico to make the best paper airplane. I guess you do learn something at college
because his definitely went the farthest.
From there we were directed to The Hub which is an arcade place with go
karts and laser tag. After scoring some
tickets and cashing in for prizes we played a game of laser tag among a big
group of about 20. If our team wasn’t
handicapped by two little rogue boys we would have totally won, but it was
still fun all the same. Next we hit the go kart track, and the kids got to race around before heading home.

When we got back,
dinner was already being made (fish and chips, yum!). Later, we figured we should get a start on
our laundry since we’d be leaving the next morning. We took Hannah and ran to Walmart to pick up
detergent and ice cream bars. For the
rest of the night we just hung out, watched some movies, and ate desserts.

Fact:
Uptown Funk is so much cuter when a five-year-old is singing it
Uptown Funk is so much cuter when a five-year-old is singing it
Lesson:
Buy tickets for laser
tag and go kart first because there’s quite a wait (even when there isn’t a
crowd)
